Where are you from? Washington D.C.
Where do you work? Gwinnett County Government - I provide support to the Capital Projects Division of Support Services, which is responsible for the construction of new County buildings, such as first stations, libraries and police facilities. I manage the web-based project management software where projects are planned, monitored and controlled. I previously worked in quality control for a manufacturing company where component ratio precision was critical.
Clubs/Organizations you were a part of at GGC: Business Club
How has GGC helped prepare you for where you are today? I have a better understanding of current best practices that is applicable to today’s business.
Favorite memory about GGC: Dr. Doug’s interactive assignments are among my favorite memories where he used several teaching and learning techniques to help his students in better understanding the class material.
Favorite professor at GGC: Dr. Furick, Dr. Ruiz and Dr. Doug
Advice for new students: Don’t skip class. Get to know your professors and classmates and let them get to know you. Be organized, use a calendar of some sort and turn in your homework and projects on time.
What’s next? I would like to explore the possibility of graduate school. With the upturn of the economy, I'd like to search for a job that will utilize my experience, skills sets and education.
