What is We Are GGC?
We Are GGC is the annual on-campus campaign for faculty and staff to support GGC. It is your opportunity to show that you believe in the work that you and your colleagues do every day.

What is the campaign period?
We Are GGC runs from September 1 - October 4, 2023. Please note that all new gifts given after the campaign month, but still falls in this fiscal year, will be included in campaign totals.

Why should I give?
Your tax-deductible gifts make a real difference in the lives of our students. Many scholarships, professional development opportunities, and student programs are funded because of your gifts. Your leadership ensures that a legacy of excellent academics, affordable tuition and enriching student and academic activities will continue at GGC.
It is also important for faculty and staff to give because it demonstrates to students, alumni, parents, and outside funders that GGC has a strong base of support. Faculty and staff giving numbers are one of the criteria that funders consider when deciding whether to award support to a college.

How do I make a gift?
There are multiple ways you can make a gift
Complete the We Are GGC gift form and return to the Office of Advancement, B-2000 or email to njones20@ggc.edu.
Bring cash or a check to the Office of Advancement, B2000 with a form attached stating your gift designation.
Visit the We Are GGC page make a one-time gift or set up a recurring gift.

Not everyone can afford to make a big gift. How big does a gift have to be to count?
Every gift counts and your support makes a difference regardless of the size of your gift. Participation is just as important as the amount that you’re able to give.

Where do I get a gift form?
You can download the form here.

What do I get in return for my gift?
All those who support the campaign will receive a We Are GGC Placard to display in their workspace. In addition to supporting GGC students and getting to take a deduction on your income taxes, GGC is excited to offer a special Thank You gift for donors who give a certain amount. Those faculty and staff who make a gift of $70 total via cash, check, credit card, or payroll deduction during the campaign period (July 1, 2023 through October 4, 2024) will receive a We Are GGC branded giveaway!
In addition, all donors who make a gift of any amount to the unrestricted GGC Fund will also receive a GGC Fund car decal.

How do I make a payroll deduction gift?
There is more than one way you can set up your payroll deduction gift. You can fill out the electronic form on weare.ggc.edu. You may also request your gift be through payroll deduction by filling out a giving form, with your signature and submitting it to the Office of Advancement, B2000 suite, or emailing your form to njones20@ggc.edu.

May I restrict my gift to a specific area?
Yes, although we recommend you give to the unrestricted GGC Fund because it provides GGC with the opportunity to meet challenges and seize opportunities as they arise. The GGC Fund is flexible and is spent where it is needed most each year, including scholarships, emergency grants, and academic and student programming.

Of course, you may restrict your gift to any existing fund. Simply designate your wishes on your gift form. As noted above, anyone who makes a gift to the GGC fund will receive a car decal.

I want to continue giving the same amount as last year. Do I need to fill out a new form?
Yes, unless your gift was made in perpetuity. Call Nate Jones at x5551 to set up a payroll deduction gift or to review your giving history.

May I split my gift among different funds?
Yes. Designate on the gift form the areas you wish to support and the percentage of your gift you wish to go to each area.

What is the difference between We Are GGC and the Georgia State Charitable Contributions Program?
While you are able to designate the Georgia Gwinnett College through the SCCP, not all of your gift is received by GGC due to administrative fees. When you give directly to GGC through a We Are GGC gift form, all of your gift is going directly to GGC.

How do I learn more about including GGC in my will or estate plans?
Thank you for thinking of GGC when making your plans! Chrissy Rosen at x5789 can help.

What is a matching gift?
Employees whose spouses work for companies that offer a matching gift program have an opportunity to double or even triple their gifts. Corporate matching gift programs are offered by almost 1,000 companies worldwide. To see if your spouse’s company participates, call Nate Jones at x5551.

What if I have more questions?
Please call Nate Jones at x5551 or email njones20@ggc.edu. We are happy to help!
