Aubrey Dyer, Director, GGC Institute for Environmental Science and Sustainability

What do you enjoy most about working at GGC?
What I enjoy most is the sense of genuine warmth on this campus—people here truly care about one another and about our students. Working alongside such a diverse, engaged student body and such supportive colleagues makes every day feel worthwhile.
What gives you the most fulfillment about your role at GGC?
As director of the Institute for Environmental Science and Sustainability, I find the most fulfillment in connecting students with real-world experiences—whether through teaching, mentoring, or collaborating with partners across campus and the community. Seeing our students grow into engaged, environmentally conscious leaders, and knowing our work strengthens ties both on and off campus, makes this role deeply rewarding.
Why do you donate to the We Are GGC campaign?
I donate because I believe deeply in GGC's community-driven mission and the model of support that makes it possible. When students don't have to worry about basic needs, they can focus on their studies and thrive—and giving to We are GGC is my way of helping sustain that support system for them.
Why do you think it's important for others to contribute to the We Are GGC Campaign?
Every donation, no matter the size, helps sustain the unique opportunities that set GGC apart and directly benefits our students and community. When we all contribute, we're investing in a place that genuinely changes lives—and that's worth supporting together.
